Having issues with breakouts or just an occasional blemish? Here is an easy way to heal blemishes without popping whiteheads and risking scarring or increased breakouts. For small clogged pores/whiteheads, it’s best to leave them alone. Sometimes they don’t come out easily and you risk rupturing the pore wall underneath. This inflames the whitehead and causes a bigger infection.

Mario Badescu has created a wonderful product that heals the blemish quickly and without damaging your skin. This drying lotion helps dry up pimples in a matter of a day or so. I use it occasionally to target problem areas, but it can be used on as many spots as necessary.

It does have a slight smell, but nothing overpowering. It’s pink because it has calamine in it, so I use it before bed. Don’t shake it, just push a clean q-tip into solution and dot on blemishes. Check it out and clear up problem areas quickly!

Your skin is the canvas for applying your makeup. If you don’t have good skin, the makeup just doesn’t look as good. As we age our skin changes and I love trying out products to firm and moisturize my face. I use my Clairsonic facial cleanser brush on a daily basis to clean my face. On a weekly basis I love to use a mask to tighten my face and shrink my pores a bit. I tried a sample of GLAMGLOW® when it first came out. I was a little nervous because I have sensitive skin and it says it has a “Tingle Exfoliant”. The YOUTHMUD® ended up being my favorite mask. It tightens the hell out of your face, but doesn’t cause any discomfort. You apply it to dry skin and let it dry, then remove with a wet washcloth by rubbing in small circles to exfoliate and remove dead skin. Here is what the manufacturer says, “YOUTHMUD® provides gentle resurfacing exfoliation and helps to leave skin smoother, brighter, and softer resulting in immediate camera-ready glowing skin.” It only takes about 10 minutes and is worth every bit of your $69 bucks.

I also tried a sample of the GRAVITYMUD™ which is supposed to “leave skin feeling firmer and more lifted.” I looked like a robot as you can see below. I wasn’t crazy about it. It’s a peel off facial and I felt like it didn’t tighten as well as the YOUTHMUD® did.

Next for hydration I used the THIRSTYMUD™ HYDRATING TREATMENT. If you want to moisturize your skin and feel a difference, this stuff is the bomb! After I use my mask, I apply a small amount of this all over my face. Let it absorb into your skin and then wipe off any excess. Voila! Now you have tight, moisturized skin. A little goes a long way, so this moisturizer lasts a long time.

The company also has  POUTMUD™ FIZZY LIP EXFOLIATING TREATMENT which worked nicely, but wasn’t anything special. I don’t know that I felt anything fizzy, but it did exfoliate my lips. After this, you are supposed to use the POUTMUD™ WET LIP BALM TREATMENT. Again, it moisturizes your lips, but I wasn’t blown away by it. It seems like Rosebud Salve works just as well for a lot less money. If you don’t love the rosey smell of Rosebud Salve, this may be for you. You can get the duo pack containing both for $39 bucks.
